Representative of Courtyard Marriott and Temur Chkonia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in Kutaisi City Hall.
According to the agreement, Temur Chkonia will build a 5 star, more than 100-rooms hotel, and management will be handed over to “Courtyard Marriott”.
The hotel will be located on renewed David Aghmashenebeli Avenue, next to ”Mcdonald’s”
The place where 13 million will be invested, is the property of the Ministry of Economy and the Procurement Procedures are underway.
“This is the largest investment that has been implemented in Kutaisi in recent years. Negotiations on the construction of the hotel were going on for months. Cultural Heritage Agency will be involved in construction processes. Kutaisi is economically ready to have more than 100-rooms hotels. I am glad that this agreement took place during me being a Mayor,”- said Shota Murghulia, Mayor of Kutaisi.
